Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. today in Posey's Funeral Chapel in Graniteville with the Rev. J. R. Kirkland officiating, assisted by the Rev. Clyde Hendrix. Interment will be in the Graniteville Cemetery. The body is at Posey's Funeral Home. The family will be at the residence of his son at 72-A Taylor St. Mr. Dean was a native of Graniteville, the son of the late Mansfield Dean and Sarah Styron Dean. He was a retired employee of the Graniteville Co. and had worked there for 45 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by four sons, Eddie A. Dean, Albert K. Dean, both of Graniteville, Archie M. Dean, Jr. of Aiken, and James S. Dean of Vaucluse, SC, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
