    3. Again the geography of SC has me perplexed. In the Lott estate it says Sarah Lott (near the Ridge). What is the Ridge? Where was it located? Have seen this referred to before but have not found a map with a notation of the Ridge. Many thanks to Census20 for these great postings. I see names and also references that with scrutiny may lead to my family who just did not leave records. Shy or sly bunch! Tree Mother Researching: Langford/Lankford on Ninety Six Creek near William Burton or Burden, Dudley Brooks, Wiley Glover, Ramsey et al. in 1800 at time of sale; John Jackson on Bostick Creek formerly Cobbs land of Edgefield. No records of purchases have surfaced on either property. "She is insane, of course. The family history has bcome a mania for her." 3. Most of the lots of that time lived in Ridge Spring, SC, so I'm sure that what is what they are calling the Ridge.
