Since Sterling is not in my direct line I have not bothered to trace them. I just thought that I may be able to give you a time line to help out in your research. I have a Sterling Harrison, born about 1795. He was a son of Robert Harrison, who was from Brunswick Co, VA but moved to Edgefield Co and died there in 1827. He seems too young to have been involved in land holdings before 1800, though. The two Harrison families are confusing because they had a bad habit of giving their children the same names. I don't know if they were related or not.
