I would expect Winston Davis Adams to have died in Charlotte NC and probably buried there also .... In the 1920 census for Charlotte, there is a Winston D. Adams living in the YMCA, age 37, born in South Carolina with parents born in South Carolina. This would make him the right age to have been born in 1882. He does not appear in the 1930 census. (There isn't a Winston Adams in the 1930 census of the right age.) In the Hyde County, North Carolina Death Index (http://www.rootsweb.com/~nchyde/DEATHA.HTM), there is a Winston D. Adams, son of Joseph Adams, who died August 18, 1929, in Ocracoke Township. If this is the same Winston D. Adams who appeared in the 1920 census, it would explain his absence in the 1930 census. It would probably be worthwhile to attempt to find the obituary for the Winston D. Davis who died in 1929 in Hyde County, NC. Drew Smith
