W. D. Bledsoe - after a useful life of 83 years as a planter in the Bethlehem section all his life, W. D. Bledsoe died Wednesday morning. His wife who was Miss Edna Hazel, preceeded him to the grave eight years ago. There are surviving nine children. The sons are J. A. Bledsoe, James L. C., H. B., P. H., W. B., C. D. all of Johnston. Two daughter, Mrs. J. M. Dean, Mrs. J. B. Bledsoe of Johnston. Mr. Bledsoe was the son of the late Berryman and Scytha Bush Bledsoe. Rev. W. F. Harris, pastor of Bethlehem Methodist church of which Mr. Bledsoe has been a steward for over forty years, conducted the services Thursday afternoon at 4 oclock. J. M. Dean 82, Near Johnston -- Sept. 21 (Special) J. M. Dean, 82, died at his home in the Bethlehem Community earlier this morning after an illness of three weeks. He was in declining health several years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary L. Dean of Bethlehem community; one son by a former marriage Douglas Dean of Albuquerque, NM, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be at Edwards Funeral Home until 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, then will be taken to Bethlehem Church until 3 pm at which time services will be conducted by the pastor, the Rev. J. S.
