If anyone has any information on the John MCFATRICK mentioned in the above will, I am very interested. This McFatrick connects to the HILLs that are probably involved with the early COURSEY family in Old Edgefield Dist. They may possibly turn out to be my missing link. From research of many probate records, I have made the following connections. Descendants of John McFatrick 1 John MCFATRICK b: Bef. 1755 d: Bef. November 14, 1825 . +Elizabeth SULLIVAN b: Bet. 1755 - 1760 d: July 21, 1845 in at the home of Co. WHITE **Jesse Hill had a daughter, Susannah, who married William Cosey per will of Jesse Hill. These may be my gggg-grandparents. There are other connections between the White family and the Coursey family, with a Susannah Coursey, probably daughter of Jesse Hill and widow or wife of William Coursey living with them in the 1850 & 1860 census as follows: In the 1840 Edgefield co. census,p. 127, there is a William White 20<30 with female 20<30 and 1 m <5. Could this be William and Syntha? Also in the 1840 census p. 88 is another William White30<40; 1f 40<50; 1m<5; 2m 5<10; 1m 15<20; 2f 15<20. CENSUS: 1850 Edgefield Co., SC p. 155 Living next door to Abner White White, William W M 40 Farmer SC " , Syntha W F 30 SC Coursey, Susan W F 62 875 VA " , Uel W M 10 SC " , Catherine W F 9 SC CENSUS: 1860 Edgefield Co., Cold Springs township. p. 68 White, William W M 58 Farmer $100 " , Syntha W F 38 Coursey, Susan W F 56 [age 62 in 1850, how did she do this?] " , Catherine W F 16 " , Enel W M 18 Was Syntha a Coursey?? *Bloomer White was first married to Sarah Brooks and that line, I think, contains the William White of the above census records. 1 Blumer WHITE b: Bef. 1765 d: Bef. March 16, 1825 in probably Edgefield Co, SC per will. . +Sarah Jane BROOKS d: Bet. 1804 - 1807 Father: Robert R. Bloomer married 2) Joanna Brooks, sister to Sarah Jane. I have much, much more on the Hills and the Whites, and would love to hear what others have on these specific lines, especially if they have a Coursey connection.
