There are other connections between the White family and the Coursey family, with a Susannah Coursey, probably daughter of Jesse Hill and widow or wife of William Coursey living with them in the 1850 & 1860 census as follows: In the 1840 Edgefield co. census,p. 127, there is a William White 20<30 with female 20<30 and 1 m <5. Could this be William and Syntha? Also in the 1840 census p. 88 is another William White30<40; 1f 40<50; 1m<5; 2m 5<10; 1m 15<20; 2f 15<20.
