Posey, Graniteville, SC Comment: Father Ewell Coursey was married twice. His wife in 1840 was not the wife of 1850. I believe William is the son of the 1st wife who died before 1850. It is possible that William's mother died when he was so young that he did not remember her, but it is hard for me to understand noone knowing who she was!! Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm, Tuesday at Posey's Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. J. W. Terry officiating. Burial will be in the Graniteville Cem. A Native of McCormick he had resided in Graniteville for several years and in Aiken for the past 19 years. He was a retired merchant and a member of the Marion St. Baptist Church.
