    2. Page 4 Feb 12th (1782) H. MILLING enters a Caveat against any person or persons whotsoever obtaining Letters of administration until he can have a proper hearing--the Estate of ANDREW BURNEY deceased, of Beach Island. (in another hand) Will since Probated and Letters of Testamentary granted. Page 49 Will of ANDREW BURNEY, being very sick and weak in body. Step-son GEORGE BENDER 100 acres joining land formerly belonging to this Father, and purchased by me from JOSEPH WILSON, and negroes "if he will receive the same in Lieu of what may be due him from me, as likewise one half of all my horses, cattle, hogs and plantation tools." (Negroes not named) To ANDREW, THOMAS, WILLIAM BASSETT SMITH the following negroes (blank space, but no names), and tract of 550 acres joining land of JAMES WILSON on Savannah River in the long reaches, also a tract on Stephens Creek containing 200 acres granted ULRIC TOBLER and by me purchased from his son J.N. TOBLER, also 1/2 of horses, cattle, hogs and plantation tools. To my sister ELISABETH MILLING tow lots in Augusta (GA) No. 12 and 16, situated on Broad and Reynolds Streets, also the following negroes (not named). Any residual estate to be divided among the first three legatees. Friends Mr. B.D and L.W. (no surnames) executors. (in different handwriting) A Division of negroes belonging to the estate of the said ANDREW BURNEY as annexed to the said will is as followeth, to wit: "In Georgia" 1st division of negroes: Cloe and child Cyrus, Jude and child Judith, Cesar, Mode, Bob, boys. 2nd division: for GEORGE BENDER, Phebe, York, Lucy, Sarah and child Mengo-50 pounds. 3rd division: for GEORGE BENDER, Eve, Brister Jimm, Brass, Jac and Eve, old negroes-50 pounds. 4th division: Goods, Simon, Rockaman, Simon, mode, Abram, Jemmie, Pender, Sew and her three children Peter, Ned and Jenary, Violet and member. (No signature nor names of witnesses). Will was proved by DAVID ZUBLY, Senr and BRITTON DAWSON "who on their oaths declared they were called by the Testor as Witnesses oft he same." Sworn 5-9-1782 before JOHN EWING CALHOUN, Esq. Ordinary of 96 District. PAT. CALHOUN, Surrogate. No. 22.
