Walter Jackson is also a child, named in the obit of his sister Georgia B. Jackson HOLMES EDWARDS, evidently born after 1880. The following obit was copied from a clipping in the Scrapbook of Ella Ruth Hazel Trotter, no date nor newspaper name on the clipping: Another obit shows a date of publication as Dec. 29, 1958. Mrs. Edwards, 78, Johnston (Special) - Mrs. Georgia Holmes Edwards, 78, died at St. Joseph Hospital in Augusta at 4:30 pm Sunday afternoon after an illness of five weeks. Surviving are her husband, John L. Edwards of Johnston; one daughter, Mrs. Julia H. Casey of Augusta, GA; two sons, Felder Holmes of Augusta, GA; and Willis Holmes of Edgefield; one sister, Mrs. W. H. Jackson of Johnston; one brother, Walter Jackson of Beach Island; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3 pm Tuesday from Edwards Funeral Home by the Rev. Martin Willis and Dr. J. D. Dukes. Interment will be in Mt. of Olives Cem. [Johnston, Edgefield Co., SC]
