There's a connection between the families of Bowman and Wright, who were in Laurens Co SC by 1786. But Sarah (widow and administratrix of Jacob Bowman Sr.) said that her father was Laurens/Lawrence Stephens (on a Laurens Co SC deed dated 11 Sep 1788). On the same day, Sarah Right [Wright] appointed Jacob Bowman [Jr.: the Sr. had just died] to be her attorney re the estate of George Bowman in VA. Was Sarah Wright the mother, sister or daughter of Jacob Bowman Sr., or of George Bowman in VA? I've never had any occasion to trace this family, don't know zip about it.
