The use of the name Loveless in the MAY family is common, since there were marriages between the two families. However, have not been able to attach a William L. They are listed in the family of Stephen (32) and Francis (31) all born SC in the 1850 Edgefield Co Census, p. 139A. Maybe it should be Mays in the 1910 census and not May. I often wonder if the families are connected and the spellings are interchangable. Just sending it out to list for information. Since I copied it down, I figured I would share it.
