I am looking for information on Reuben Mundy b. 1777 in VA? d.Feb 28, 1856 in GA. Family legend says that he was born in VA, migrated to GA and his father's name was William. FACTS: Reuben was in Putnam Co. GA Feb 10, 1814 when he married Mary Polly Andrews. He was previously married but her name is not known. He had three children by his first wife: Julia Ann Mundy, Mary Melvina Mundy and Hilery C. Mundy. By his second wife he had nine children. Also, family legend says that his first wife and father died during the migration process in either NC or SC. There is a Rubin Monday and Samuel Monday listed in 1810 in Edgefield, SC In 1820 there is a Henry Mundy listed, also. Reubin by 1820 is in GA. There is a William and James Monday listed in 1820 in Iredell Co. In 1810 there is a William Mundy listed. Can you shed some light on these Mundys and specifically Rubin? Is the Rubin in Edgefield SC my Rubin? Could William be related to my Reuben? Is he the father or brother? I would be interested in corresponding about the Mundy/Munday/Monday families. I have extensive info on Reubin's offspring. This has been my brick wall for the past 20 years. It is almost like he dropped from the sky into GA. ===== D H Deci Researching in GA: Hart, Drane, Knowlton, Mallory, Mundy, Ansley, Carter, Andrews Researching in MS: Drane Researching in AL: Knowlton Researching in WI: Kaiser, Baumann, Meidl Visit my site: http://www.geocities.com/familyhunter77/ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
