    3. Harriett, I am still studying your Gallman info. Rereading some info. you sent called Edgefield Goldmans.doc and this caught my eye. I don't think I responded to this before: Mar 1793. Will of Joseph Raybourn, [Rocky Creek] Edgefield Co SC. Witnesses John Rowe and Henry Gallman. Ingmire, Edgefield SC Wills Vol. II. Will typescript (MSS Will: Book A, Pages 40-41; Estate packet: Box 44, Pkg 1876). Other mentions: Ann Raybourn, Alexander Raybourn, Anthony Raybourn, George Raybourn, Sarah Raybourn, Susanna Raybourn, William Raybourn, John Raybourn, Elizabeth Raybourn, Mary Raybourn. Descendants of Joseph Raborn 1 Joseph RABORN d: 1793 Edgefield Dist, SC . +ANN ..... 2 George RABORN b: Bet. 1780 - 1790 ......... +Rachel GORDON ..... 2 Alexander RABORN ..... 2 Joseph RABORN ..... 2 Anthony RABORN ..... 2 Sarah RABORN ..... 2 Susannah RABORN ..... 2 Ann RABORN ..... 2 William RABORN * ..... 2 John RABORN ..... 2 Elizabeth RABORN ..... 2 Mary RABORN *Is the William Raborn listed in the will the same William who married Susannah Loveless? Time works, but have no proof; therefore I have not attached his information to this William. The National Genealogical Society Quarterly, Volumes 1-85, 1600's-1900's Supplement IV, Passports Issued by Governors of Georgia, 1810-1820, Page 74: shows on Joseph Raborn having been issued a Passport to travel through the Creek Nation. Wonder if this is the son Joseph mentioned in the above will. " Page 267 - - Thurs. 22d November 1810: On application, ORDERED That passports be prepared for the following persons to travel through the Creek Nation of Indians, to wit, one for Mr. Nathaniel Bolton with his wife and seven children - - one for Mr. Reubin Roberts with his mother and her five children - - one for Mr. Joseph Raborn with his wife, his mother-in-law and her five children, all from Edgefield District, South Carolina, and one for Mr. John Bouker of Miledgeville - - which were severally presented and signed." I worked on these folks to check relationship with my maternal Grandmothers Rabun line of Warren Co. Ga area. The name there is also spelled Raiborn, Rayborn, Rayburn, Rayborne, etc. One the same page in one of the census records I copies are three brothers, proven by their father's will, and all 3 spelled their last name different. My grandmother's spelling was Rabun. Her in Camden, there is a large group of Rabons, and that spelling is found a lot in Horry (Oree) Co Area of SC. If has been an interesting family to research, altho I stopped when I found no connection, but since my folks come down to GA from NC, there is a possibility that they connect back there and I just don't know the connection.
