The following is of interest to me as I work some on the Yonce families. I entered it into my files, but have not yet deterimined how Ralph O. Yonce connects to the Yonces I have worked on so far. Obit of Jean C.Yonce, published in "The STATE", Columbia, SC on Feb 28, 2007 JOHNSTON - Mrs. Jean Copeland Yonce, 80 retired teacher, wife of Ralph O. Yonce, of Academy St., died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center. Graveside services will be held Thursday,. March 1, 2007, at 2 p.m. in Mount of Olives Cemetery. Mrs. Yonce was a native of Laurens County. She was a retired school teacher of 35 years and a member of Harmony United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband; one son, Randy C. Yonce, Johnston; one daughter, Pennye (David) Semino, Clinton; two stepgrandsons; four great-stepgrandchildren. Memorials may be made to Harmony United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 186, Johnston, SC. The family is at the home and will receive friends Wednesday, February 28,2007, from 6 to 8 at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
