July 13, 1843, Saluda Co. [Edgefield, Saluda Regiment] father: Jasper Story, no location of birth given mother: Polly Story, no location of birth given. d. Nov 22, 1933, Johnston, Edgefield Co, SC age: 91yrs, 6 mo, 20 days cause: senility, sclerosis of blood vessels for at least 10 years. informant: Varilla Smith Buried: Good Hope UT: R. L. Ramey & Son, Saluda Co, SC I cannot find a cem. record for her in Good Hope Bapt or Good Hope Lutheran Church. I found her mother Pollie M. Story Nov 26 1820 - Dec 26 1900 buried in Good Hope Lutheran. Jasper is not buried with her, or at least is not in the cemetery records I have. In the 1860 census Mary Ann Story who md a Whittle is age 10, putting date of birth as 1850. CENSUS: 1860 Edgefield Co, The Ridge, p. 158 (written) [Augusta Gen. Story, 10 F SC Martha Story, 8 F SC Henry Story, 3 M SC Calculation by age at death would be birthdate of May 2, 1842, so guess the 1842 year is right. Fallaw, Batesburg, SC *Still Edgefield Co until 1895. West Creek Cem. Records show him buried with a his SISTER, Mary Whittle. His DC states that he was single. His sister Mary was also single per her death Cert I have them as a part of this family, but I don't know which McGee family Polly attaches to.
