Billie Jones Camden, SC tjones@camden.net The following obit was in "The STATE" paper, Columbia, SC Sept 1, 2006: Raymond Rodgers WARD - Raymond Leo Rodgers, 78, of 113 Little Country Road, died Thursday, August 31, 2006, in Lex-ington Medical Center. Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late David and Ellen Forrest Rodgers. He retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation and was a member of St. William's Catholic Church. Surviving are four sisters, Christine R. Padgett, Marietta R. Powell, Leona R. Wilson and Ora R. Gillian all of Ward, and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Clotez R. Clark, preceded Mr. Rodgers in death. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at Ramey Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of a niece,. Sherry Rodgers Rowe, 109 Little Country Road. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2006, at St. William's Catholic Church with Father Robert Ninedorf and Rev. Mr. John Klein officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. William's Catholic Church, 1199 Ridge Spring Hwy., Ward, SC 29166.
