    3. Taken from The Greenwood Journal 16 Apr 1896 (I don't have a page number) On Sunday, April 5th, Robert Cheatham died from the effects of a stroke of paralysis at his home near Longmires, in Edgefield County. The deceased was the father of R. G. Cheatham, who was at one time a citizen and business man in this city. He had been in bad health for the past two years, and on Friday previous to his death was prostrated with a stroke of paralysis. He was buried in the Zeigler burying ground at Liberty Hill, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. G. W. Bussey. Mr. Cheatham was in his 64th year, and for the greater part of his life he was one of the leading members of Gilgal Baptist Church. It appears that there is a one year discrepancy in the date of death. Thank you for the locations and the cemetery listing. I know where Bethany Baptist Church is since my uncle J. P. Gable is buried there.
