Thank you for the Roper information. I only have two in my research, both Benjamin. Benjamin Roper married Mary Holmes (born about 1819 died June 15, 1832). She was the daughter of Edward Holmes and Elizabeth Burress. Benjamin Roper married Emily E. Cogburn (born April 19, 1812, died October 7, 1852) After the death (?) of Benjamin Roper she married John Harwood Burt. He was the son of Harwood Burt and Susanna Miles. I do not have dates for either Benjamin Roper. Could they be the same person?. John Harwood Burt was previously married to 1. Eliza A. Butler (1792-1840) and then Emily E. (Cogburn) Roper. I don't know the parents of these two women. Would appreciate any information on any of these names. Thank you.
