I have a Robert Christie who, in October of 1796, witnessed the will of Josiah Allen in Colleton County, along with Aaron Etheredge. Robert and Aaron were neighbors in Edgefield SC, and as far as I can tell have no other connections in Colleton District. Robert went on to name his first son Josiah Allen Christie, so I suspect a connection somewhere. I do not know the name of Robert's first wife and Josiah Allen Christie's mother, but have always suspected her to be a daughter of a Josiah Allen.
