Found my notes on Swearingen/Holmes-- The following information came from a book titled Court House Records; Bible Records, Edgefield Co, SC, c 1941 in the DAR Library in Washington, DC. p. 95. Will Book F, p 18-19. Will of James Swearingen dated Feb 1867 and recorded 7 Dec 1867. All estate to wife Ann. After death daughter Lucinda Eiken gets household and furniture. Land to daughters Harriet Rhodes and Eliza Swearingen. Other children: William b. 1814 - never married Jesse b. 1815 - 1843. James b. 1817 - 1860 m. Elizabeth DeLaughter John b.1820 - 1863 Harriett b. 1822 m. Coleman Rhodes Mary Ann b. 824 m. Simion McDaniel Abner never married Eliza m.
