I descent from very Early Gentry: Anna Gentry, daughter of Hezekiah Gentry b. 1729 md Catherine Reynolds (have his ancestry from other research, not my own) md. Pleasant Burnett. One of their sons, Pleasant Burnett Jr. md. Artemesia Carter, dau. of Charles Carter. My Pleasant Burnett, Jr., his wife and several family members, including David Cunningham Bullock are buried in Proctor Cemetery located in Greenwood Co. ca 5 mi south of Ninety Six on State Hwy 246 just past the intersection of road #132. The Proctor Cemetery can't be seen from the road. Road #132 ( Aull Mill Rd ) does not cross Hwy 246. It's on the left (coming south from Ninety-Six) as is the cemetery which is about 1/8-1/4 mile past it - the first "path to the left after the phone box behind the house on the corner of Aull Mill and 246. The cemetery has a bad "road" which you can drive part way up if your car is not to low to the ground. The cem. is only about 30 yards in from the road. Pleasant's stone is very faded but it can be read. Compiler has pictures of many of the tombstones. I wonder if we can get Richard Earl connected back to these early Gentrys????
