For anyone interested, My friend Margaret Miller says: "The Mackerness name comes up frequently in Virginia Cousins in connection with the Goode family." She also mentioned that there is a Mackerness Minter. I have nothing further regarding him but thought those of you interested in the Mackerness name might want to check that source.
