Billie I have the following children of a W F Whittle and his wife A C ? Whittle (could be Floyd Wilson Whittle and Amanda) buried in the Whittle Family Cemetery in Saluda County. I think this may be the same people. Notice the Essie Alma born in 1879 and the Floyd and Amanda had a daughter Essie born in 1879 All of these are buried together in the Whittle Cemetery. See "Our Saluda County Ancesters" Vol 2. When the survey was done there apparently was an assumption that all were the children of W. F. and A. C. but if this is Floyd W who married Matilda abt 1884 then Colen and Allison would be the children of Floyd and Matilda which would account for her two missing children (8 children/6 living). This would also indicate that Amanda died either the time of Annie's birth or shortly thereafter. BTW, Floyd's mother (according to Saluda Family Histories) was Hephsibah Effeisa 'Hepsy' Prater Connie Descendants of W F Whittle Generation No. 1 1. W F1 WHITTLE He married A C ??? WHITTLE. Children of W WHITTLE and A WHITTLE are: i. ESSIE ALMA2 WHITTLE, b. 17 May 1879, Edgefield Co, SC; d. 06 Feb 1886, Edgefield Co, SC.
