    3. This census records has me really going around in circles. Hope some of you researchers on the lines mentioned can help me out. I transcribed this from Heritage Quest image. CENSUS: 1870 Edgefield Co, SC, Spring Grove twp, Lotts PO, p. 488A-B hh#261 * Mary Ann Derrick, 26 Juliann C. Derrick F, 3, SC Frances L. Derrick F 1, SC R. McK. A. Yonce, M W 9 SC SC SC John E. Yonce, M W 2 SC SC SC I have made some connections, but not too sure about Mary Ann, due to conflicting information. I figured she was a daughter of Abram (44) and Chrisitian Yonce (40) in the census and Christian to be the dau. of Christin Mayer (64). I figured that Mary Ann must be the wife of Rufus McKeller Derrick listed 4th.... why I do not know. However, I have also seen his wife in other records as Mary Ann Margaret Moyer???? I have not researched the Moyers. The Derricks I know a little about as they are kin thru marriage into my Rauton line, as are the Yonces. The 1850 and 1860 census along with the above 1870 census led me to believe that it was Mary Ann who married the Derrick, not her sister Margaret. CENSUS: 1850 Edgefield Co, SC , Edgefield Division, p. 90B HH# 1398, transcriber says it should be # 1402 - Name spelled YAUNCE Yonce Andrew 49 M Farmer 1,000 SC Yonce Fema 49 F SC Yonce Abram 25 M Farmer SC Yonce Rosea 23 F . . Then in 1880 she is listed as the wife of Rufus M.
