The date on the death cert. is the same as in the Mt. Vernon cem. records: Mattie Lavinia Mayson - 8-23-1850, 11-6-1934 I have 5 children, a new daughter that shows up in the 1900 Census: Edgefield Co, SC, Kibler twp, p. 62A, hh#28/26, with parents. I had problems with the date of Corra's birth, (who must the the I.C. you have) and that of Jasper, unless they were twins. 1900 census, however, shows they were not. So she must have been born in 1878 or 1879. Sometimes I think the census takers just made up the ages or dates...And look at the error for Janie. If born in 1884, she would be 16.
