My gg-grandparents are buried at Dry Creek Baptist Church, now in Saluda Co, SC Celina Coursey 16 April 1836 - 28 June 1914 John F. Coursey 26 Sept 1838 - 22 March 1912 Beside them according to "Our Saluda Co. Ancestors, Vol II", Saluda Co, Historical Society, are buried: L.J. Robertson 10 July 1872 - 14 June 1947 [Dessaux] Robertson 19 Feb 1894 - ?? ?? ???? I believe that the mother of my John Franklin may have been a Harriett Robertson, as I find her name on a death certificate of a Mary Jane Coursey Arthur in Augusta Ga., who I believe is the sister of John F. Coursey. But I am searching for more info. on the Robertson's of the area. Harriett d. before 1850 census and Uel Coursey remarried to an Elizabeth Unknown. [1850 census age of wife does not work with 1840 census age of wife, and she is too young to be the mother of the first 2 for sure and 3rd probably] Does anyone have any info. on these two folks, or other Robertsons of the area ca 1820-1850. I will look for L. J. Robertson's death cert. when I get a chance at the Camden Archives, and post it. I checked the 1850 Edgefield Co. census records for possible Robertson, and only found two of an age to be the parent/s of a Robertson female b. ca 1820 - 1825.
