George Gregory married Sarah (unknown) in early 1792 in Edgefield Co., SC. It is thought by some that as a general rule, women usually married someone within about a five-mile radius. George Gregory obtained land on Big Horse Creek, waters of the Savannah River in 1792. His adjoining neighbors were Nappers, Hirndons, Swearingins and Holsonbacks, along with the Fudges. I am searching for the maiden name of George's wife, Sarah. If anone has any information, or I would appreciate some suggestions. All help would be appreciated. It would not surprise me to find that he married a German girl as George having been born in PA in a German settlement could only read and write in the German language. Thanks for any help.
