We are trying to locate a living relative of the following Edgefield County men: Hamilton, Joseph W., born 1928, race Black, PFC, Army, 3rd Inf. Div., killed in action in North Korea Oct. 1, 1951. Nicholson, Memminge, born 1929, race White, PFC, Army, 2nd Inf. Div., killed in action in North Korea Sept. 19, 1951. Padgett, Eulia, born 1913, race Black, CPL, Army, 2nd Inf. Div., died while captured in North Korea Dec. 1, 1950. A memorial for the Korean War will be dedicated in Augusta, Ga., on Nov. 6, 2004. The above men will be honored by it.
