    3. We corresponded a while back about the Ropers, and I wanted to share this with you, have you look over it and see if you come to the same conclusion that I have on who he is. Also sharing with the list. I found two new probates and also am including the one I had of William Sr. d. 1804. All these Williams are so confusing. And that the above will was the last will and Test. Of Wiley Roper, and that Joel Roper should be his executor to settle all his estate. Roper and my son Joel Roper Executors /s/ 7 June, 1803 Witness: William Glover Jr, Anderson Glover, /r/ in Will Book A, p. 190-191 May 21, 1804 [Box 44, pkg 1883] I have not checked out the acutal box and package to see if additional info. is given in the distribution of property. _______________________________________ NOW.... who is this one? thought it was also relating to Wiley and it may be, but if he made out his will in 1807, this one was dated in 1811. Maybe he made out the a new one when his wife was expecting a child, or maybe Margarite is a new wife, altho Peggy could be a nickname for that as it is for Margaret.???? Lots of maybes, and I need some help. Estate of William Roper, decd; Benjamin and Sam Roper Exo. Edgefield Co, SC Box 044 Pkg 1856 Recorded July 26, 1811. SC, Edgefield Dist: Know all men by their presents that we Benjamin Roper, Samuel Roper & Jacob Earnest was at the house of William Roper on the 21st July 1810 and heard him declare these words to be his last will and desire (that is to say) I give unto my Beloved companion, Margarite Roper all my property both real and personal after she has discharged my legal debts as long as she continueth single, and in case she marry's again, for her to have all the property which she had when I married her and one third of all my property & the balance to the child which she is now pregnant with, to be sold & the money to be put out at interest. And his will & desire was that his friends Benjamin & Samuel Roper should act as Executors. Sworn to this __ day of July, 1810 by Benjamin Roper, Samuel Roper & Jacob Earnest, Jr. Estate sale held August, 1810. Purchasers included: Lewis Holloway; Robert Lang, Sr; Charles Wood, John Barnes; Reason Barnes; (--) D. Wigfall; Benjamin Roper; John (Moon) I could not find the name of the Roper child with whom his wife is pregnant. Looked like a Richard Milly may have been guardian?? Or Roger M.
