If anyone can provide info, I would really appreciate it. I have no Bamburg or Barnwell Cem. books, altho I did find several Books on the area published by a DAR chapter in the SCDAR library. Hightower, Denmark, SC * there was no Bamburg Co. in 1848, the area was still a part of Barnwell. (T/J) Kemp, Denmark, SC Buried: Denmark, SC UT: Hightower Funeral Services, Denmark *looked like Denmark, but may not be, as Denmark in 1949 was in Bamberg Co. A researcher contacted me looking for info. on the family of John Clifton Kemp, her grandfather, and she sent the following names and dates of John C. and his wife: John Clifton Kemp b. 9-13-1884 d 6-26-1949 married to Hattie Belle Gillam b 4-17-1890 d 1-3-1978. ----------------------------------- HC Ouzt's Kemp file gives the following family outline - using census records [year in brackets]. Kemp - Barnwell Co, SC will dated Jan.15, 1908 recorded April 3, 1908 daughter Mamie. (SPECULATION: could this be the mother of Thomas Medicus Kemp of DC #16625, Barnwell co, SC??)
