MULLINS — Mrs. Doris Jean Johnson Bryant, 69 ,died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 11 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glenn Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Mrs. Bryant was born December 9, 1937 in Dillon County, a daughter of the late Carl and Bertha Bryant Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Bryant are: 2 Sons: Randy Bryant of Mullins and Billy Wayne Bryant of Tennessee; 4 Daughters: Doris Ann Carter of Greeneville, Tn., Sheila Baxley of Mullins, Sherry Jackson of Rock Hill and Beverly Bethea of Nichols; 9 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; 3 Nieces; and 8 Nephews. Mrs. Bryant was predeceased by her husband, Howard Alton Bryant; 4 brothers, Alton Johnson, Legrand Johnson, Hubert Johnson and Elmer Johnson; and 2 sisters, Ermine Hardwick and Kathryn Harrelson. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 7 til 9 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
