    2. Arthur Franklin Woodard, Jr., 80, of Darlington died Thursday, March 1, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Central Baptist Church, conducted by the Reverends Timothy Coker and Marvin Lynch and directed by KISTLER-HARDEE FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in the Grove Hill Cemetery. Mr. Woodard was born in Dillon County, a son of the late Andrew Franklin and Bessie McDowell Woodard. He graduated from Latta High School and later worked for Armour and Company where he retired after 27 years of service. Mr. Woodard is a longtime farmer and was the founder of Woodard Farms, Inc. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Harper Bible Class. Mr. Woodard was predeceased by one son, Terry Michael Woodard and two brothers, George Foxworth Woodard and Andrew Monroe Woodard. Survivors include his wife, Ann Godley Woodard of the home; one son, Frankie (Connie) Woodard, III of Darlington; two sisters, Sarah Harmon of Bennettsville and Josephine Duty of Charleston; four grandchildren, Ty Woodard of Clemson, SC, Wes Woodard of Darlington, and Shawn (Chip) West of Darlington; three great grandchildren, Chelsea Rogers, Bethany and Chipper West and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 3, 2007 from 5 -7 PM and at all other times at the Woodard residence, 110 Virginia Drive, Darlington. The Woodard family would like to thank Ivie Woodle for the care and compassion given during Mr. Woodard's illness.
