Services for Hoyt Singleton will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in East Dillon Baptist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday in Cooper Funeral Home. Mr. Singleton, 75, died Saturday, September 9, 2006 in McLeod Medical Center in Dillon. Born in Dillon County, SC, September 8, 2006, he was the son of the late Walker Charles Singleton and Frances Claudia Herring Singleton. He was a member of East Dillon Baptist Church, and was the Owner of Singleton's Fish Market and Singleton's Hardware. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Walters Singleton of Dillon; daughters, Debra S. Meekins and her husband Lloyd Meekins, Jr. of Lumberton, NC, Sharon S. Reich and her husband, Colonel Joseph Reich of Covington, LA, and Joy S. Corbett and her husband Charles E. Corbett, Sr. of Myrtle Beach; sisters, Sylvia Palmer of New Bern, NC, and Walker Jane Godbold of Florence; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; Mr. Singleton was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Leigh Singleton; sister, Tulah Singleton; brothers, R.B. Singleton and Jeff Singleton.
