GALIVANTS FERRY | Thurman Leroy Walters, 69, of Frye Road died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006 at Loris Community Hospital. Mr. Walters was born in Dillon, the son of the late Thurman and Rosa Rigsby Walters. He was retired from the Town of Aynor. Mr. Walters was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was predeceased by a brother, Earl Walters. Surviving in addition to his wife, Carnell H. Walters of Galivants Ferry, are one son, Malcolm Thurman Walters and his wife, Jennifer, of Galivants Ferry; one daughter, Venus Soles and her husband, Wayne, of Little River; three brothers, Neil Walters of Aynor and Ralph and Wayne Walters, both of Galivants Ferry; three sisters, Sharon Grainger of Florence, Diane Prawl of Tocoma, Wash. and Loretta Staples of Aynor; and stepmother, Elsie Walters of Galivants Ferry. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2006 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Love officiating. Burial will follow at Aynor Cemetery.
