DILLON — Services for Christine Moody Pittman will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Home. Mrs. Pittman, 92, died Monday, September 4, 2006, in McLeod Medical Center in Dillon. Born October 3, 1913, in Dillon County, she was the daughter of the late John Tolan Moody and Cherrie Hayes Moody. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and a retired farmer and merchant. She was the widow of the late James Maxwell Pittman. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Pittman Eubank of Petersburg, VA; sons, Kenneth (Jean) Pittman of Dillon and Jimmy (Dianne) Pittman of Dillon; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Pittman of Dillon; sister, Lila M. (Redd) Garrett of Charlotte, NC; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pittman was preceded in death by her sons, Temple Pittman and Hubert Pittman; brothers, Hester, Marion, Max, Bishop, Richard, Lide, Malcolm, Lloyd, and Von Moody; and sisters, Iva M. Smith and Ezzie M. McKenzie; and grandsons, Jeff, Mike, and Shelton Pittman.
