CONWAY | Nellie Kate Stephens Miles, 80, of Pebble Lane, wife of the late Willie ''Bill'' Miles, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2007. Mrs. Miles was born September 11, 1926 in Dillon County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Henry and Laura Hyatt Stephens. She was a member of the Conway Church of God, where she was very active. Mrs. Miles will be missed by her family, church family and many friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Dempsey; two brothers, Jim Stephens and Harvey Stephens; and a sister, Isla Bethea. Mrs. Miles is survived by two sons, Tommy Miles and his wife, Sandra, of Greenwood, S.C. and Gary Miles and his wife, Peggy, of Longs, S.C.; two daughters, Leila ''Butch'' Pack and her husband, George, of Conway and Joyce Jordan and her husband, Denny, of New York; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Conway Church of God with the Rev. Stuart Jacobs, the Rev. Eddie Altman and the Rev. Willard Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2007 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
