    2. MONROE, N.C. — Evangelist Florence Roberts Clark, 62, of 8124 Dove Dale Lane, Charlotte, N.C., entered eternal rest Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at the Hospice Home of Monroe, N.C. Born in Dillon on Sept. 10, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Roberts and Catherine Marie Bethea Roberts. She was educated in the schools of Dillon County and graduated from Gordon High School in 1964. While living in Philadelphia, she was employed by General Electric for many years. Upon moving to Akron, Ohio, she was employed as a caregiver with Home Health Care. Florence responded to the call of the Lord and became an ordained evangelist. Prior to moving to Charlotte, N.C., in 2005, she attended Bible Temple Church of Prophecy. While living in Charlotte, she was a member of Heavens Gate Holiness Church, where she was Mother of the Church, faithfully ministered and served the community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers: Maybel, J.E., Donald, Leroy Jr. and Robert Lincoln Roberts. She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Gregory A. (Sharon) Brown of Florence, S.C., Robert C. (Deniece) Brown of Norfork, Va., and Reginald (Carolyn) of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, John Roberts of Charlotte, N.C.; three sisters, Cora Lyman Roberts, Lottie Mae Roberts, both of Cleveland, and Rebecca Roberts Wright of Elyria, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, in Union AME Church in Lake View, S.C., with the Rev. Willie Graves, pastor, and Bishop Fred Graham. Burial will follow in Roberts Memorial Cemetery, Dillon, S.C. The remains will be in state at 1 p.m. Sunday. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home of Mr. Rufus L.
