Dan Davis, 76, died Saturday, January 20, 2007, at his residence. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Born in Dillon County,, May 28, 1930, he was the son of the late Archie Davis and Janie Huggins Davis. He was a retired Painter. Survivors include his sister, Mary Taylor of Dillon; brother, Major Davis of Dillon; grandson, Archie Davis of Dillon; granddaughter, Cynthia (Joe) Jones of Darlington; 3 great-grandchildren. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Davis; daughter, Bonnie Herring; and brothers, James & Junior Davis.
