DILLON — Services for Hoyt Wilbur Miles will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Little Rock Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home. Mr. Miles, 82, died Monday, March 13, 2006, in McLeod Medical Center in Dillon. Born March 20, 1923, in Latta, SC, he was the son of the late Rufus Frank Miles and Edna Earle Herring Miles. He was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran and a retired Fleet Manager and Mechanic. He was the widower of the late Iva Nell Miles and a loving husband and father. Survivors include his daughters, Janice Miles Grantham and her husband, Derrick, of Asheboro, NC, Betty Miles Johnson and her husband, Gary of Morganton, NC, and Caryn Miles Proctor and her husband, Haywood, Jr. of Hamer; sister, Margaret Miles of Dillon; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Miles was preceded in death, by his grandson, Shel Grantham.
