DILLON — Services for Ernest William Adams Sr. will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Cooper Funeral Home. Mr. Adams, 82, died Sunday, March 26, in McLeod Medical Center-Dillon. Born March 30, 1923, in Horry County, he was the son of the late Joel Maxcy Adams and Ethel Owens Smith Adams. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and was a retired carpenter. He was the widower of Ann Adams. Survivors include his daughters, Ethel Taylor, Mary (Leroy) Hyatt and Donna (Burk) Lovette, all of Dillon; sons, Mac (Shirley) Adams and Ernie (Mary) Adams, both of Dillon; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Leatherman Hendrix; and brothers, Carlisle Adams and James Adams.
