DILLON — Mrs. Mary Louise Daniels, wife of the late Nick Hardy Daniels Jr., died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, in Carolina Health & Rehab, Columbia. She was 73. Mrs. Daniels was born Feb. 12, 1933, in Dillon, a daughter of the late Howard Carter and Annie Ammons Carter. She worked for Dillon Manufacturing Co. for 26 years until it closed and retired in 1999 from Franco Manufacturing Co. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Peggy Daniels of Florence; another son and daughter-in-law, Kim and Diane Daniels of Dillon; a daughter, Tina Louise Daniels Perkins of Columbia (and a son-in-law, Larry Perkins of Columbia); a sister, Catherine Moody and husband, Jack, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; a brother, Billy Carter and wife, Shelby, of Dillon; a brother, David Carter of California; a brother-in-law, George Bo Daniels and his wife, Edna, of Dillon; and a sister-in-law, Doris Daniels Rouse and her husband, Bud, of Garden City. There are six grandchildren, Tim Daniels and wife, Alene, of Travelers Rest, Jason Daniels of Greenville, Scot Daniels and wife, Anne Grace, of Lake Wylie, Kevin Daniels and wife, Amanda, of Dillon, Jared Yarbrough and wife, Cassie, of Des Moines, Iowa and Amber Yarbrough of Columbia. There are eight great-grandchildren, Ashley Daniels, Brooke Daniels, Philip Kevin Daniels Jr., Wade Daniels, Zachary Daniels, Dargan McKay Glenn Daniels, Hayden Scot Daniels and Destiny Yarbrough, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Sue Daniels Yarbrough Savage of Dillon, and a sister, Joan Carter Rowell of Bennettsville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Dillon Church of God followed by burial at Greenlawn Cemetary, both in Dillon. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors at the Dillon Church of God Fellowship Hall following service and burial. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association Palmetto Chapter.
