Services for Bernice Isabelle Locklear will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday in Mt. Elem Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Mrs. Locklear, 81, died Friday, Noember 17, 2006 in McLeod Medical Center in Dillon. Born in Marlboro County, June 28, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Evans Locklear and Flora Clark Locklear. She was a member of Mt. Elem Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Robert Locklear, Phillip Locklear, Jimmy Locklear, and Johnny Locklear, all of Dillon, and Danny Kay Locklear of Newton, Mississippi; sisters, Jennie Beard of Dillon, and Shirley Barfield of Little Rock; numerous grandchildren. Mrs. Locklear was preceded in death by her son, Frankie Locklear.
