BATESBURG-LEESVILLE — Mr. Eddie Luther Edwards, 60, formerly of Mullins, died Sunday, November 5, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 8 at Zion Southern Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Watson Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins. Mr. Edwards was born August 19, 1946 in Mullins, a son of Rupert Edwards and the late Dorothy Ford Edwards. He was a truck driver for Columbia Farms. Mr. Edwards was a US Marine Corps veteran, having served in Viet Nam. He was an avid deer hunter. Mr. Edwards was a member of Old Samaria Baptist Church in Batesburg, where he served as Deacon and teacher of the Mens Sunday School Class. Surviving Mr. Edwards are: His Wife: Sandra Kay Miller Edwards of the home; His Father: Rupert Edwards of Mullins; His Children, Lindsey Nicole Edwards of the home, Tiffany Michelle Edwards Compton and her husband Jason Andrew of Lexington and Eddie Luther Edwards, Jr. and his wife Shannon Lelaine of Mullins; His Grandchildren: Tyler Edwards, Desirae Edwards and Brooke Byrd; 2 Brothers: Ansil Edwards of Gresham and Danny Ray Edwards of Dillon; and a Sister: Carolyn Ford of Nichols.
