Carmichael, Sara LAKE VIEW -Mrs. Sara Jo Carmichael, 78, died Friday, April 22, 2005, in Loris Community Hospital after an illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at First Baptist Church of Lake View. Burial will follow in Lake View Perpetual Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the home of Mrs. Carmichaels niece, Kathy Smith, 308 S. Main St., Lake View, directed by Cook Funeral Home of Lake View. Mrs. Carmichael, the wife of A.E. Gene Carmichael, was born in Hamlet, N.C., the daughter of the late Edward Loupo and Naomi Wilson Loupo. Mrs. Carmichael graduated from Lake View High School and Winthrop College. She was a member and a trustee of First Baptist Church of Lake View. Surviving are her husband, A.E. Gene Carmichael of Lake View, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, J.E. Loupo, Robert E. Loupo, and M. Wilson Loupo.
