Lane, Inez MULLINS-DILLON-Inez Lane, age 84, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at her residence, 4215 Poole Loop, Mullins, S.C. Born in Marion County, she was the daughter of the late Dock John and Lottie Grice Lane Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ted Lane and a brother, Wayron Lane. Mrs. Lane was an active member of Mullins First Baptist Church, former Sunday School Teacher and choir member. Mrs. Lane is survived by one son, John Carroll Lane and his wife Amy of Mullins. One brother, Daniel J. Lane of Marion. Two sisters, Mildred Strickland of Marion and Barbara Faulk of Southport, N.C. Five grandchildren, John Charles Lane, David Carrol Lane and Daniel James Lane, all from Latta. Matthew Keith Lane and Amelia Meredith Lane both of Mullins. Two great grandchildren, John Colby Lane and Jesse Kenneth Lane. Also, a special friend and caregiver, Margaret C. Canty of Mullins. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2005, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Meares Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Meares Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jim Kirkland and Dr. Lewis McCormick, officiating. Burial will follow in Devotion Gardens.
