W.D. Stephenson (April 10, 1926 - February 10, 2005) HAMER Services for W.D. Stephenson will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday in Hamer Church of God with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Mr. Stephenson, 78, died Thursday, February 10, 2005 at his residence. Born in Benson, NC, April 10, 1926, he was the son of the late William Jesse Stephenson and Lina S. Stephenson. He was retired from C-Board Coastline Railroad, was a U.S. Navy Veteran and attended the Hamer Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Grace Stephenson of Hamer; sons, Steve (Terry) Stephenson of Florence, David Glenn (Joni) Stephenson of Clinton, NC, John R. (Anne) Stephenson of Suffolk, VA, Kenny (Sandra) Stephenson of Dillon; daughters, Sharon (Hal) Ennis of Benson, NC, Patricia (Ronald) Bryant of Floyd Dale, Jenny (Johnny) Dove of Hamer, Mary (Ernie) Adams of Hamer; 20 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
