    3. Emily English Morris (April 10, 1904 - February 9, 2005) ROWLAND, NC Emily English Morris, 100, formerly of Marion, NC, died Wednesday, February 9, 2005, at her home. She has lived with her daughter, Joanne (Morris) Adams for the last seven years in Rowland, NC. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday in the Westmoreland Funeral Home Chapel in Marion, NC with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Marion, NC. The Rev. Scott Hagaman will officiate. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday evening in Cooper Funeral Home in Dillon, SC. Born in Smiths Grove, KY, April 10, 1904, she was the daughter of the late Charles William English and Sarah Fletcher English. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marion, NC, and she retired from a teaching career of 40 years. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Joanne Adams (Coble) of Rowland, NC; three granddaughters, Mrs. Anne A. McGirt (Charles) of Fort Mill, SC, Mrs. Wendy A. Seethaler (Donald) of Youngsville, NC, and Mrs. Amy A. Prescott (David) of Latta; two great-grandsons, Grayson Seethaler and Jaden Seethaler; sisters, Mrs. Carrie Lee Jordan, Mrs. Louise Rasdall, and Mrs. Nan Tarter all of Smith Grove, KY; nieces, Mrs. Martha Oaks of Scottsville, KY, Annette Morris of Stateville, NC, Mary Helen Simpson of Lynchburg, VA; nephews, Mr. Joe Jordan, Mr. John Tarter, and Mr. David Tarter all of Smiths Grove, KY, William G. Morris of Mooresville, NC. Memorials may be made to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 111, Dillon SC 29536 or to The Dillon Christian School, 337 S. Commerce Drive, Dillon, SC 29536.
