Mr. Leo Strickland, age 65, of Austell, died Wednesday, May 10. He was born in Dillon, SC, the son of the late Brooks and Lillie Mae Marlowe Strickland. He was a groundsman and was a member of the Highest Praise Church of God.. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, B. R. Strickland and John C. Strickland (died in the Korean War), sisters Evelyn Strickland and Ruthie Mae Strickland. He is survived by sisters, Omalee Gaddy of Austell, and Mildred Lane of Dillon; brothers Odell Strickland of Newport News, VA, and Robert Strickland of Union City, GA; severa; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 13th, at 3 PM in the chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home in Hiram with Rev. Tony Stallings officiating. Interment followed in the Paulding Memorial Gardens.
