Paul Sloan McCutchan, Sr. (April 4, 1924 - January 11, 2006) Dillon Mr. Paul Sloan McCutchan, Sr., 81, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006 in his residence after an illness. Born in Dillon County, April 4, 1924, he was the son of the late Edward Douglas McCutchan, Sr. and Ella Sloan McCutchan. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II, was a member of VFW, St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church and retired from Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company after 28 years of service as a production manager. Graveside funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 14, 2006 in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation wil be held 7-9P.M. Friday, January 13 in the funeral home. Surviving are his wife, Elda Mae (nee Howell) McCutchan of Dillon; daughters, Paula McCutchan Penn of Sevierville, TN, Kathy and husband (Carlton) Driggers of Lake View; son, Paul Sloan McCutchan, Jr. and wife Deborah of Columbia; daughters, Mary Louise and husband (Brett) Arion of Florence, Jennifer and husband (Matthew) Cox of Conway and Jamie McCutchan of Florence; step-son, Gary Hyatt of Dillon; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a niece, Joann Nicholson of Hoover, Alabama.
