DILLON — Services for Reddin Herring will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Mr. Herring, 83, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, in St. Joseph Hospital in Tampa, Fla. Born in Dillon County, Nov. 4, 1923, he was the son of the late Reddin Herring Sr. and Lula Johnson Herring. He made his home in Tampa, Fla., for the last 30 years, and he was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Dillon. Mr. Herring was married to the late Lula Mae Jacobs Herring. Survivors include his sisters, Myrtle Allen of Benson, N.C., Sara Mae Cashion of Charlotte, N.C., and Libby (H.B.) Barfield of Dillon; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Herring was predeceased by his brothers, Gordon, Bill and Elax Herring, Dillon, and sisters, Lola Stone, Jacksonville, N.C., Dorothy Flowers, Hamer, and Emmy Lou Harpe, Louisville, Ky.
